Joint Statement on WSIS & Human Rights: A Fundamental Relationship
The Global Digital Rights Coalition for WSIS, and the Global Digital Justice Forum (GDJF), both of which we are part of, have published this summary statement on the centrality of human rights to achieve the WSIS vision of building a people-centric, inclusive, and development-oriented Information Society. The statement reaffirms our view that the outcome document of the WSIS+20 review should consistently and progressively acknowledge the fundamental importance of human rights in the governance of digital technologies and the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines.
